At the national level, AEHT Belgium vzw annually organizes the AEHT Cornet 0.3 Trophy, a prestigious competition that showcases excellence in culinary skills and hospitality. This exciting event provides a platform for young talents to demonstrate their abilities and shine across various disciplines.
The AEHT Cornet 0.3 Trophy consists of four distinct competitions, each with its own unique challenges and highlights.
Each team is made up of two participants, selected from final-year students of various schools. The team composition is determined by a draw at the beginning of the competition, after which the participants independently divide tasks and collaborate to excel in their respective disciplines.
The AEHT Cornet 0.3 Trophy embodies the passion, dedication, and skill of participants striving for culinary excellence and world-class hospitality. With challenging competitions and an atmosphere of excitement and teamwork, this event remains a highlight in Belgium’s culinary arts scene.


Restaurant Service
This category challenges teams on their ability to deliver a seamless and refined restaurant experience. From designing the menu to pouring beer according to the rules of the art, every detail is closely observed. The teams must demonstrate their skills through a series of demanding tasks, including a beer tasting and a competition lunch.
Culinary Art
This competition is all about creativity and craftsmanship in the kitchen. Teams are challenged with a budgeting task and must then present their culinary masterpieces during a competition lunch. From theoretical and practical preparation to delivering dishes that are both refined and flavorful, this category guarantees a true culinary experience.


Pastry
The art of pastry-making takes center stage in this competition. Teams must not only demonstrate their skills in completing assigned tasks, but also manage a budget and present irresistible treats. From theoretical preparation to hands-on trials, this competition celebrates the elegance and precision of patisserie.
Tourist Destination
This competition goes beyond the world of food and drink, focusing on the promotion of tourist destinations. Teams are tasked with creating a tourism information board, crafting unforgettable experiences in the city, and presenting their findings in a compelling oral presentation in English. This category highlights not only hospitality, but also the creativity and communication skills of the participants.


The international competition includes 11 different contests, with students assigned to teams made up of members from schools in various countries. English (both spoken and written) is mandatory as the working language at all stages of the competition, including briefings, drafting a work plan, and communication with teammates and jury members during the various tasks. A minimum English level of B1 (according to the EQF) is required.
